Nestled into twenty acres of farmland, the Rose
Farm Inn on Block Island is well known for its romantic rooms, informal hospitality and
amenities. From a private weekend to a family reunion, our
facilities are equipped to cater to your every need from a one night
stay for one to a large wedding.
A working farm until 1963, the grounds of the Inn are now home to marsh hawks, ring-necked pheasant and white-tailed deer. Although this peaceful sea and country setting is only a few minutes walk from the village and beaches, the quiet and privacy of the Inn is reminiscent of the Block Island of years gone by.
Our two buildings (the original Farm House and the newer Captain Rose House) feature spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, some with whirlpool tubs. From first floor, private entrance rooms to the cozy charm of beautifully renovated and maintained 19th century rooms, we make it easy for you to relax in style.
We feature all the amenities in a mid size Inn that you would expect - light buffet breakfast, afternoon tea with fresh homemade baked goods, fresh beach towels daily, free Wi-Fi, Guest Parlor with Direct TV and game table, Guest refrigerator, coffee and tea always available, Cold drink cooler and ice machine, Coin-op washer and dryer, bathroom with shower for use before check-in and after check-out, and ample parking - and one amenity that is found only at the Rose Farm Inn! In the fields we have a stone fire pit with surround seating where guests may enjoy the evening sea breeze and starry night sky, that may be lit at any time by request.
Block Island is an easy trip for a weekend to enjoy the seaside. Or better yet, avoid the weekend traffic and get away for a mid week vacation at a less hurried pace. Meadow View House is our stand alone rental home on the property that comfortably accommodates families or groups. It includes all the amenities for an extended summer vacation or a short getaway and is available in the off season.
On a hill overlooking the ocean and the surrounding meadows of the Rose Farm, Sea Meadows is the perfect site for a Block Island wedding reception or any other special event, large or small. Beautiful flower gardens, ocean views and meadows bordered by stone walls provide a lovely backdrop for your special day. The 20 acre farm can be reserved exclusively for your wedding weekend celebration. You and your guests will enjoy a venue like no other from the time you arrive until the time you depart and begin your life together.
Our on site florist, Jamie Marie Rose, can provide beautiful arrangements for your special events or occasions.
Our wedding coordinator, Mona Dwyer Helterline, can answer any questions you may have during the planning stages of your event. Day-of and full service coordination is available separately.
For your convenience, we have Bicycle Rentals on the premises, specializing in Raleigh mountain, sport comfort, cross and tandem bikes.
