A working farm until 1963, the grounds of the Inn are now home to marsh hawks, ring-necked pheasant and white-tailed deer. Although this peaceful sea and country setting is only a few minutes walk from the village and beaches, the quiet and privacy of the Inn is reminiscent of the Block Island of years gone by.
Our Farm House and the Captain Rose House feature spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, some with whirlpool tubs. From first floor, private entrance rooms to the cozy charm of beautifully renovated and maintained 19th century rooms, we make it easy for you to relax in style.
Yankee Magazine recognized the Rose Farm Inn as the “Best Rooms with a View” in their summer “Best of New England” magazine. The lure of the ocean and proximity to many major cities makes Block Island and the Rose Farm Inn one of the North East’s most popular vacation destinations.
“My husband & I have had the pleasure of staying at the Rose Farm many times over the years. It truly is our favorite place to spend our vacation on B.I. It is conveniently close to town yet offers a peaceful serenity that makes it feel like your own personal Eden. The staff are very pleasant, yet unobtrusive. The breakfast nook is charming and well stocked with fresh items every morning. Judith is always lovely & accommodating. The rooms are bright, airy and impeccably clean. We love Rose Farm & enthusiastically recommended it. We’ll be back!!!
